Choosing the right development company decides whether your app ships on time, works well, and can grow — or becomes an expensive rebuild. The good news is that a few clear questions separate a strong partner from a risky one.
Questions to ask before you sign
- Can they show real work? Ask to see apps they built and, ideally, to speak with a past client.
- Who owns the code? Make sure you own the source code and accounts, not the agency.
- How do they communicate? Clear weekly updates in your language matter more than a slick pitch.
- Do they do Arabic and RTL properly? Localization should be built in, not bolted on. See Arabic-first app design.
- What happens after launch? A good partner supports, updates, and iterates — an app is never truly "finished".
Red flags to avoid
- A fixed quote before anyone has understood your scope.
- No willingness to start with a smaller first version.
- Vague answers about testing, security, or who owns the code.
- Communication that is already slow during the sales stage.
Local partner, regional understanding
A team based in the region works in your time zone, speaks your language, and understands your users' expectations around payments, design, and Arabic content. That alignment removes a lot of friction that shows up when you outsource far away.
